PHILADELPHIA -

Most parents can probably relate to this: Your child is having a difficult time sleeping at night because they are scared of monsters!

But for kids whose have a mom or dad in the military, it can be even worse.

A South Jersey veteran and his wife responded to these bedtime fears with a new book called "Goodbye Monsters," and it comes with a protector!

Joining "Good Day Philadelphia" on Friday morning were the authors, Master Sgt. Benjamin Hemme, Susan Hemme and a friend named Zimbobo.

While deployed in Iraq, Benjamin's fellow airmen talked about concern for their kids.

The Hemmes wanted to help families having issues with bedtime fear.

So, "Goodbye Monsters" features Zimbobo as a character who keeps monsters away.

How does it work? Place Zimbobo in the scariest place, and you will wake up safe and sound!

You can hear the Hemmes talk more about about their book in the video clip above.
