WHITE HOUSE FERGUSON - 1:15 p.m. President Obama arrived back at the White House this morning for a surprise 2 day break from his Martha's Vineyard vacation. Today the President meets with Attorney General Holder to receive an update on the situation on Ferguson, Missouri in the Oval Office. The FBI has ordered an independent 2nd autopsy on Michael Brown. The Justice Department has also launched its own Civil Rights investigation looking at the actions of police response in the unrest.

VIRGINIA PREPS FOR SAME SEX MARRIAGE - Starting Wednesday, County Clerks thought Virginia can start issuing marriage licenses for same sex couples. The decision by the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals cleared the way to overturn Virginia's ban. But before that happens there is a lot of work to be done by those clerks. Arlington’s Clerk of the Circuit Court says their office is bracing to get prepared for what could be a flood of applicants. The Supreme Court could issue a stay of the 4th Circuits order, meaning that same-sex couples may want to get their licenses before the Supreme Court may step in and reinstates the ban.

MONTGOMERY SUPER INTERNET - Is the "SuperNet" coming to Montgomery County? Councilman Hans Riemer says he's pushing a plan to bring superfast gigabit internet speeds to Montgomery County. The speeds reached are said to be 200 times faster even the current state of the art fiber optic internet connections. Why does Montgomery County need this? Ridemer says it's key to the federal agencies that call the county home like, National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration, National Institute of Standards &Technologies and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency. FED CONTRACTS QUESTIONED - Maryland Congressman Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, the ranking member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has issued a joint letter to the Department of Homeland Security questioning the awarding of a $190 million contract to background check contractor USIS. The award was granted even after the Justice Department sued the Falls Church, Virginia company over accusations that it falsely claimed to have wrapped up hundreds of thousands of investigations from 2008 to 2010.
