LANDOVER, Md. -

Prince George's County police say they have made an arrest in connection to the murder of a 3-year-old girl last weekend, but they are still actively searching for the alleged shooter.

According to police, 24-year-old Brian Ray Campbell of Landover assisted the man who is accused of shooting and killing 3-year-old Knijah Bibb in her home. Campbell was arrested Wednesday and faces charges including first-degree murder, second-degree murder, manslaughter, accessory before the fact, and accessory after the fact. He is being held without bond.

Police are still continuing to search for 25-year-old Davon Wallace, who is the alleged gunman responsible for the little girl's death.

Police say Campbell provided the weapon to Wallace in the shooting and provided transportation to him after the shooting occurred.

Campbell lives on the same street where the shooting took place.

Police say Wallace fired shots at a home because he thought someone inside the home was wearing his clothes. But in the end, Knijah was killed.  Officers say when they arrived at the scene at around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, they found her suffering from a gunshot wound, and her family says the bullet entered her side and came out through her heart.

“The more I talk about it, the more I'm hurting,” Brenda Bibb, Knijah's grandmother, told FOX 5 earlier this week. “My heart is torn now. Let's hope they catch him … I hope he gets the electric chair.”

Wallace will face first-degree murder charges, among others.

“For this murder in particular, it really touches us in a way,” said Prince George's County Police Lt. Bill Alexander. “When you go back there and you see the look in the investigators' eyes, it's just really a sense of moral outrage. That a 3-year-old girl can get gunned down inside of a home there is outrageous.”

Police say Wallace was a dating girl who lived at home where shooting took place and he got mad that her little brother was borrowing or wearing his clothes.  They don't believe he was targeting the house at the time of the shooting.

Family says the young life he did claim was a little girl described as a tomboy because she had older brothers. She loved reading, the color blue and the movie “Finding Nemo.”

Anyone with information on Wallace's whereabouts is asked to call 301-772-4925 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest and indictment.
