Posted: Updated:

Egg Harbor Township Police have arrested two people after discovering a Marijuana growing operation, while executing a well-being check on an elderly person.

On Wednesday, around 9:43 a.m. officers responded to a residence on Fisher Avenue in Scullville, and made contact with the residents of the home.

Upon investigation of the property police suspected the occupants, 50-year-old Kimberly Gifford and 42-year old Raymond Peaschek, were in possession of controlled substances.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers discovered eight marijuana plants and paraphernalia.

The elderly subject was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center by ambulance to be checked out.

Gifford and Peaschek were both charged with Manufacturing Controlled Dangerous Substances, possession of over 50 grams, and possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance paraphernalia.

Both were released with summons to appear in court.
