CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Three people were wounded--two critically-- in the South Side Chatham neighborhood Wednesday night.

A 25-year-old woman and two men, 21 and 26, were shot about 9:30 p.m. in the 8600 block of South Ingleside, police said.

The three were on a porch in the back of a home when an unknown male emerged from an alley and opened fire, police said.

The woman was shot in the left bicep and right forearm, while the 26-year-old man was shot in the abdomen, leg and buttocks, police said. Both are in critical condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The other man was taken to Stroger with a gunshot wound to his left foot, police said. His condition was stable. A fire official had initially said he was in critical condition.
