MCSO employee accused of distributing confidential information

A Maricopa County Sheriff's Office employee ends up on the other side of the bars.

Joseph Asarisi is accused of using his position to access and distribute confidential information.

According to MCSO, Asarisi was able to access confidential documents on terrorism, human trafficking and jihadist reports.  He then reportedly sent the information to an anti-government author in New York City.

Asarisi is facing charges of impersonating a police officer, forgery and computer tampering.
