RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — The Washington Redskins wrapped up their first training camp under new coach Jay Gruden on Tuesday and headed back up to northern Virginia with the players looking forward to a day off.

The nearly three-week camp was shorter and more physical than recent camps had been under former coach Mike Shanahan. It also was missing the drama that dominated a year ago when star quarterback Robert Griffin III and Shanahan feuded openly about a rehabilitating Griffin playing in the preseason.

Unlike the first 15 workouts, Tuesday's was closed to the public. The only people allowed in were media and the volunteers that worked throughout camp. They had an autograph session with players after the practice, and the wildly popular Griffin was the last player to leave the session.
