Teen pleads guilty in Delaware kidnapping

GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - A 15-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to three felonies involving the kidnapping of an elderly Delaware woman who was locked in her car trunk for two days before being abandoned at a cemetery.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports (http://delonline.us/XA4xfQ ) that Junia McDonald of Milford will be sentenced next month on carjacking, kidnapping and conspiracy charges.

McDonald is one of four teens charged with kidnapping 89-year-old Margaret E. Smith last year. All were younger than 18 at the time but were prosecuted as adults.

Eighteen-year-old Rondaiges Harper of Bridgeville was sentenced to 30 years in prison last month following a trial. Eighteen-year-old Phillip L. Brewer of Bridgeville pleaded guilty to several counts and agreed to testify against his co-defendants.

Seventeen-year-old Jackeline Perez of Milford is to be tried in October.
