West Oak Lane Shooting Results In Cheltenham Crash, 2 Hurt

Multiple gunshots ring out in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane neighborhood injuring a man and woman in a car police say later crashed after being fired upon.

That crash happened in Cheltenham where Fox 29's Jennifer Joyce was live Monday morning.

A 29-year-old male and 25-year-old female are in the hospital following a shooting in West Oak Lane, and ended with a car crash in Cheltenham.

The shooting took place at 71st and Georgian Road around 3:00 a.m.

The male victim had been attempted to drive the car after he had been shot seven times according to police, and is now in critical condition.

The car came to a stop after striking a parked vehicle in Cheltenham.

The female victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, and is in stable condition and talking with police.

Police are investigating why the shooting occurred.
