DETROIT (WJBK) - A third suspect is under arrest in the carjacking and murder of a young man outside the Superland Market at Schoolcraft Road and Rutland Street Monday night.

Police say 20-year-old Dontae Norris, an employee at the market and a National Guardsman, was lured outside by another man to check on his car, a silver Grand Am, out in the parking lot.

The two men inside a black G6 carjacked him at gunpoint, but police say Dontae jumped on top of his car and the men started shooting through the sunroof, leaving him bleeding and dying in the street.

Witnesses tried to save his life.

A third suspect is under arrest in the carjacking and murder of a young man outside the Superland Market at Schoolcraft Road and Rutland Street Monday night.

"A passerby happened to be a veteran and saw his dog tags and he jumped in and continued where a young lady was exhausted trying to give chest compressions," says Muhsin Muhammad. He is among the many mourning this terrible loss. Norris was just 20-years-old and engaged to be married. Friends say he had just returned from training.

"He recently just came back, I want to say Sunday, and Monday he came back to work and it's just kind of tough," says Jordan McCrimmons. He went to high school with the victim and worked with him at the store.

Turns out, police say Norris knew one of his killers, another employee at the market with whom he had had an argument.

"He left and returned with some friends, and the end result was a life was lost," says Muhammad.

Detroit police say one man was arrested Monday night and they recovered the weapons then recovered the victim's car. Tuesday morning another man was taken into custody, and Eighth Precinct Special Ops arrested the third suspect Tuesday afternoon.
