KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - A Kingman-area man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced in the shotgun killing of a man whom the defendant mistakenly thought had molested his young daughter.

George Allen Loader was convicted of killing 51-year-old John Oppenheim and then sawing up and burning the victim's body to dispose of it in the desert.

The Kingman Daily Miner reports that a judge on Thursday refused to sentence Loader so he'd have a chance at release after 25 years in prison.

According to Judge Steven Conn of Mohave County Superior Court, "this wasn't just a murder."
