Homeless Man's Drawings Of His Dog Helping Him Give Back

Posted: Updated:

LONDON, ENGLAND- A homeless man and his four-legged best friend are making quite an impression in London.

And it all began on the streets.

John Dolan was a pan handler with an incredible talent.

He began making drawings of his dog, George.

But these sketches are no joke!

Some of them can cost up to nearly $7,000 in U.S. currency.

"You know he's just a really beautiful dog, and I try and capture that in the drawings that I do of him are quite simple. But I've done one that's been in most of the papers, it's the very detailed one, it's quite a big drawing. I've captured him magnificently in that, but these little ones that I do, I basically try and capture his personality if I can in all of them," said Dolan.

No doubt, Dolan credits George for turning his life around, out of homelessness, crime and drugs.

"So when I first got George, he was hand shy, he was quite an aggressive dog and he would growl at you and he was a cat chaser and he was weary of people and when I started training him, within a month of me started to train him, he basically his personality began to change. He became a really pleasant dog," said Dolan.

Dolan is giving back now, as some of the proceeds from his work will go to homeless and pet charities.
