ALL-STAR SUNDAY: 4 big events in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

There will be plenty of action in Minneapolis on Sunday as All-Star weekend continues including the Legends and Celebrity Softball Game and All-Star bash featuring Nelly and B.o.B at Epic downtown.

ROD CAREW DRIVE, KIRBY PUCKETT PLACE UNVEILING

The Twins are unveiling the new location of Rod Carew Drive and Kirby Puckett place on Sunday. The streets are being relocated from their former location near the Metrodome to Target Field. Carew will be on-scene at Target Plaza along with the late Puckett's family members.

ALL-STAR FUTURES GAME

The All-Star Futures Game will be at Target Field at 4 p.m. with 27 top prospects who could eventually have big league careers will be on the field. Former Twins manager Tom Kelly, who guided the club to its two World Series championships in 1987 and 1991, will return to the dugout to manage the U.S. Team against the World Team, led by hall-of-famer and former Twins pitcher Bert Blyleven.

ALL-STAR LEGENDS AND CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAME

Baseball greats like Mike Piazza and Rollie Fingers, Grammy award-winning rapper Nelly and Olympic gold medalist Jennie Finch will step up to the plate to participate in Sunday’s Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. Minnesota athletes including Maya Moore from the Lynx, Zach Parise from the Wild, Adrian Peterson from the Vikings will also participate.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and it’s also airing on MLB Network Monday afternoon.

Maya Moore is playing just hours after she plays in a Lynx matchup against Seattle at Target Center.

ALL-STAR BASH

Major League Baseball is hosting the annual All-Star Bash after the softball game at Epic nightclub in Minneapolis. Nelly, B.o.B. and Jermaine Dupri will all perform starting at 10 p.m. The club closes at 2 a.m.
