Florida Couple Calls 9-1-1 On Pet Cat

Posted: Updated:

DeLand, Fla.-On Saturday night just after 7 p.m., Teresa Gregory, from DeLand, Florida, called 9-1-1 saying her cat, Kush, attacked her and her husband.

In the 9-1-1 call, she said:

"She tore me and my husband up, cuz we left her in the bathroom all day, so I let her out and she was OK. Then, she saw my husband and she freaked."

"I got her out of the bedroom, and now she's in my living room and I can't get out. She's got us trapped in our bedroom."

"My husband's arms were ripped up! I mean ripped up! Pouring blood."

"She's never been like this. She's never been out of the house."

"We just need her out of our house. We don't know what to do."

Animal Control took the cat out of the home. Officials will quarantine her for 10 days. No word on what they will do after that and whether the cat has been tested to figure out why she flipped out.
