PHOENIX (KSAZ) - The federal government said they have 80,000 deferred action illegal immigrants who will not be deported. Two states refused to let them drive, Arizona and Nebraska.

Members of the Arizona Dream Act Coalition posed with a mockup of an Arizona driver's license. They hope their faces will be on the real thing.

"It hurt me very deeply that our Governor of Arizona would go to those lengths to dehumanize us and strip us of our identity," said Korina Iribe.

The 9th Circuit Federal Appeals Court in California ruled Gov. Brewer acted illegally in denying the dreamers licenses at the same time she was allowing other undocumented immigrants a license to drive.

"It seems that it was based on hate, she doesn't like this group of people for deferred action," said Alan Salinas.

Brewer didn't do an interview with FOX 10, but she did send a statement. "Lawless decrees by the President demonstrate animus to Congress, states, and the Constitution. It is outrageous, though not entirely surprising, that the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has once again dealt a blow to Arizona's ability to enforce its laws."

Gov. Brewer said she was analyzing ways to appeal the courts decision. The dream act students say she should just move on.

"You have the choice to make to leave a legacy of love, or a leave behind a legacy of hate," said Iribe.
