NEW TSA RULES - Passengers at some overseas airports that offer U.S.-bound flights will soon be required to power on their electronic devices in order to board their flights. The measure is intended to enhance aviation security at a time of increased threats.
The Transportation Security Administration says it is adding the requirement that passengers coming to the U.S. from some airports must turn on devices such as cell phones before boarding. It says devices that won't power up won't be allowed on planes and those travelers may have to undergo additional screening.

PRINCE WILLIAM IMMIGRATION - Prince William County Virginia is demanding the Federal government reveal what happened to of thousands of illegal immigrants county police arrested and turned over to federal officials for deportation. Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors will vote to submit a Freedom of Information Act request to ICE on the status of more than 7,000 people arrested in the county and turned over to ICE since 2007. The county has had a policy in place since 2007-2008 that identifies illegal immigrants who are committing crimes in the county. Police then turn them over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation.

NO SMOKING OR NO JOB - Can company fire you for smoking? In Maryland, Anne Arundel Medical Center will mandate a urine test for nicotine use for all applicants starting next July. The policy — current employees are exempt— is part of the hospital's existing ban on tobacco use that was broadened July 1 to apply at all hospital buildings and surrounding public sidewalks, parking lots and garages. It covers not only cigarettes, but cigars, pipes, snuff and e-cigarettes. Turns out it is legal in Maryland and more than half of the United States.

NEW NSA SNOWDEN LEAKS - New leaks by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden say conversations intercepted by the NSA were from ordinary Internet users than legally targeted terror suspects. The Washington Post report says that while some intercepted messages were a source of valuable intelligence, more included more than 5,000 private photos. In most cases, the information was kept despite being marked as useless. Approximately 160,000 intercepted e-mail and instant messages and 7,900 related documents taken from more than 11,000 online accounts were provided to the Post . The material was between 2009 and 2012.
