The Sr Director of Content is responsible for ensuring the smooth and full delivery of on-brief content in compliance with Brafton's production processes, policies and quality expectations for clients assigned to the Chicago office. This key member of management is also expected to manage the growth of the office within production, which includes editorial, design and video teams. Ideal candidates will have the confidence to lead a large growing team and serve as a mentor for all roles in content production.
Strong management of the Chicago Production staff and ensuring managers get the support they need to thrive
Ongoing contribution to the development of production policies, structures, practices and products as they apply across Brafton Production
Developing the depth and expertise of Chicago's production teams to meet and surpass clients' service expectations across a range of content types
General responsibility for personnel issues across Chicago production teams, including the timely and effective administration of staff reviews and the conduct of pay reviews in line with company processes
Act as highest point of escalation for client and office issues in Chicago
Proper management of Chicago Production budget
Maintaining a productive and comfortable office environment for all Chicago staff while promoting compliance with the Company Handbook
Ensuring the complete and even delivery of clients' contracted volumes across the calendar month among Chicago's production teams
Maintaining high production quality sufficient to retain clients' business in accordance with Brafton's policies and procedures
Working with the Executive Production Team to secure the effective implementation of, and adherence to, departmental processes among his or her teams
Appropriately managing hiring needs across Chicago to maintain stable levels of on-brief production
Furthering the commercial and editorial presence of Brafton in the Midwest through effective and appropriate outreach programs and other forums
Facilitating clear and effective communications between the Chicago office and Brafton's other sites of operation

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years related experience in a service-based industry, managing cross-functional teams
Educated in journalism, video production or graphic design
First-rate planning and logistics handling
Strong executive manager with excellent leadership profile
Superb client savvy and sharp commercial instincts
Adept at interfacing across the business to ensure effective production outcomes for Chicago and Brafton's Production Teams more broadly
First-rate writing, editing and communication skills
Skilled at complex resource management
Firm grasp of media law
Proven track record in hiring, developing and personnel management
