WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is meeting with his acting veterans affairs secretary and a top White House aide to review the administration's response to problems confronting the veterans health care system.

Obama returned Friday from a two-day trip to Minneapolis and promptly ducked into an Oval Office session with Acting Secretary Sloan Gibson and deputy White House chief of staff Rob Nabors.

Nabors is heading a wide-ranging review of the Veterans Health Administration following reports of lengthy wait times for appointments and treatment delays in facilities nationwide. Obama instructed Nabors to provide the results of the review this month.

Gibson replaced former Secretary Eric Shinseki, who resigned amid the growing scandal. Obama is seeking a permanent replacement, but officials said a nomination would not come Friday.
