Police: Dog with cinder block around neck found in lake

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A dog was found intentionally drowned in a lake in the Adirondack Mountains this month, according to New York State Police.

The German shepherd had a cinder block tied around its neck, police. It was found in Tupper Lake on June 20. Police believe the animal was drowned in early June.

The state's Department of Environmental Conservation and Tupper Lake police are helping with the animal cruelty investigation.
