ROMEOVILLE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two men have been charged with robbing a woman at gunpoint as she delivered pizzas for a restaurant Tuesday night in southwest suburban Romeoville.

Rene Ramos, 19; and Deon Brown, 21, both of Romeoville, are charged with aggravated robbery, according to a statement from Romeoville police. They were each ordered held on $500,000 bonds Thursday, according to the Will County Sheriff’s office.

The incident happened just after 10 p.m. Tuesday when the driver was dropping off pizzas at a home on Dunbridge Lane in Romeoville, according to police.

When she arrived, three suspects approached the vehicle, all wearing hoods, pulled her out, and told her to give them her money, she told police.

She was then “forcefully sat on the back seat of the vehicle and held at gunpoint” while the suspects searched the vehicle. One of the suspects struck her in the head with the gun while rifling through the vehicle, police said.

The offenders then ran away, taking an undetermined amount of cash, the victim’s cell phone and several pizzas, police said.

The driver suffered a minor head injury but refused medical attention, according to police.

A third suspect, a juvenile male, is also thought to be involved but has not yet been charged, police said.
