KERRY IN IRAQ - Secretary of State John Kerry is in Baghdad this morning to meet with Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Kerry is expected to urge urge the Shiite-led government to give more power to political opponents before a Sunni ISIS insurgency seizes more control across the country. MARYLAND PRIMARY EVE - For months they've been fighting it out but tomorrow it's up to the voters. This is the last day of campaigning for those that would be Governor in Maryland's primary. Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown, a Democrat, and Republican Larry Hogan each had significant leads over their opponents when likely voters were polled in late May and early June. Brown is facing Atty. Gen. Doug Gansler and Del. Heather R. Mizeur.

SCOTUS DECIDES - The Supreme Court will issue decisions on three days this week as it seeks to conclude its 2013 term a week from today. The three big cases still awaiting a decision include the Obamacare - Hobby Lobby case asking if forcing religious companies to provide birth control in health insurance violates their rights. The Aero broadcast TV right case asks if a startup internet company can retransmit TV signals and charge subscribers without compensating broadcasters. Also cell phone privacy and how far governments can go in balancing privacy and technology.

VIRGINIA MEDICAID STANDOFF - Gov. Terry McAuliffe spent the weekend pursuing his effort for Medicaid expansion to include up to 400,000 uninsured Virginians. His message? It's not over yet. McAuliffe said he sent “a strong signal” Friday when he announced that he would sign a two-year state budget that does not include expansion of Medicaid, but that he would try to bypass the General Assembly to close the coverage gap. He claims more that 30,000 new jobs and $860 million have been forfeited.
