Police: Two Men Rob, Shoot Man In Franklinville

PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police are looking two men involved in a robbery and shooting in Franklinville.

On Tuesday at around 12:30am, a 44-year-old man, was standing with several witnesses outside of 3600 North 7th Street when they were approached by two unknown men.

Police say the first suspect pointed a gun in the air before firing a shot. The victim then fell down to the ground while the first suspect stood over him stating, “Give me the money”.

The suspect went through the victims pockets and took $400. After taking the money, the first suspect shot him in his left thigh.

Both suspects then fled north on 7th street and were last seen entering a silver colored SUV driving toward Erie Avenue. The victim was taken to Temple hospital where he being treated for injuries..

Authorities describe the first suspect as a black male, between ages 30-35 years old, beard, thin build, 6’2", wearing a peach colored hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is a Black male, 5’8”, with a thin build.

    Summer is not over just yet! Today will be very hot and humid with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s and mostly sunny skies.  A cold front will bring some thunderstorms tonight, some of which may be severe.

    Wednesday will be less humid but it remains warm all week long.
