BENGHAZI SUSPECT TO DC - Benghazi terror suspect Ahmed Abu Khattalah is coming to DC. He was captured without no shots fired by US Special Forces in Libya. Reports now are that Khattalah is being held on the USS New York er out back to the United States where he's being interrogated. His final destination will be the U.S. District Courthouse here in Washington D.C. That's where he was indicted in charges that bring the death penalty if convicted. 4 Americans, including Amb Christopher Stevens, died in the attack on the U.S. Consulate Benghazi on Sept. 11. 2012.

HAGEL TESTIFIES - 10:00 am There's a lot of ground for Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel to cover today when he testifies before the Senate Appropriations Defense Subcommittee. The Benghazi operation to capture Abu Khattalah, the crumbling situation in Iraq as radical Islamic ISIS forces roll thru the country, and the prisoner exchange for Sgt. Bo Bergdahl all are likely to be among the questions both Hagel and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey face. Dirksen room 192.

CHURCH BANS REDSKINS - A major sector of the United Church of Christ is calling for a boycott of the Washington Redskins until the team changes its name.
The Central Atlantic Conference passed a resolution Saturday to become the latest organization to denounce a name that has frequently been condemned as a racial slur. The conference said it will urge its 40,000 members in D.C., New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and parts of Virginia and West Virginia to boycott the team's games and merchandise.

MORE GM RECALLS - 10:00 am Expect more tough testimony today for the head of GM General Motors says it has issued a recall of 3.36 million defective cars. The latest problem is similar to the issue with keys that could suddenly turn off engines and deactivate air bags. Mary Barra, CEO, The General Motors Company will testify this morning before the House Energy and Commerce Committee today. The committee will ask about these new recalls and On the facts and circumstances that contributed to GM failure to AFIND a safety defects and initiate a recall in a timely manner.
