GLENDALE, Ariz. - A man walking down the street in Glendale was shot at close range with a BB gun.

The BB remains lodged in the man's face. He says the shooter drove right up to him, aimed, and opened fire.

The man wasn't seriously injured but says the BB is still inside his chin area. He's worried that the shooters might shoot someone else and seriously injure them.

"It feels like a round little ball," said Dustin Anderson.

Dustin Anderson said he still feels what he thinks is a BB in his chin. "It's there; that was not there before," he said.

Anderson said he was minding his own business walking home from dinner on 59th Avenue between Northern & Olive around 8:30 p.m. last night.

"All of a sudden this white SUV pulled up and shot me, I thought it was a rock or something, I felt my chin and blood was pouring out of my chin," said Anderson.

He says he was shot by the passenger of the vehicle. Paramedics told him it was likely a BB gun.

Anderson said that After he was shot the car slowed down and then took off.

"I immediately start to stop the bleeding, I go to the 7-11 store, and I call 911," described Anderson.

Glendale Police say they haven't had any other incidents like this reported, Anderson wonders if he's the first to get hit.

"The way it happened, their reaction time, it seems like they were surprised they hit me," he said.

Anderson didn't see who was in the car, but he suspects it was teenagers.

"I went to the emergency room, and they didn't see anything in there, I'm feeling something, definitely on the other side, obviously it penetrated," said Anderson.

For Anderson, the injury may be a pain in the neck. "Now I have to go deal with this, I don't have insurance, and I have to deal you know," he said.

"Who knows if there's somebody out there they're going to hit, and it's going to be worse than mine... I'm thankful I didn't lose an eye or have a real serious injury," he said.

Anderson said the white Ford Explorer was a 1990's or 2000 model, he plans to go back to the doctor to get the BB removed. If you have any information call Glendale Police at 623-930-3000.
