Metro: 4 of 5 lines affected by weekend work

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says passengers traveling on four of the system's five lines will experience delays of up to 20 minutes this weekend.

Metro says that beginning at 10 p.m. Friday and continuing through system closing on Sunday, trains on the red, orange, blue and yellow lines will be affected. Metro says that trains on the orange, blue and yellow lines will operate every 20 minutes all weekend.

Metro says that on the red line, trains between Shady Grove and Glenmont will run every 20 minutes with additional trains between Grosvenor and NoMa-Gallaudet every 10 minutes on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. only.

Metro says the green line will not be affected, though passengers at College Park will board all trains on the Greenbelt side of the platform.
