Today is Monday, June 16, the 167th day of 2014. There are 198 days left in the year.

IRAQ UNRAVELING - With Baghdad threatened by the advance of an al-Qaida-inspired insurgency, the State Department is sending some personnel out of town. Much of the embassy staff will stay in place, State Department said in a statement released Sunday. The statement did not say the number of personnel affected. The US embassy in Baghdad's Green Zone, has about 5,000 personnel and is the largest U.S. embassy in the world. The Pentagon is sending 100 Marines in to help with security.

SCOTUS DECISIONS - 10:00 a.m. It's crunch time at the US Supreme Court. The justices meet this morning and on Thursday issuing opinions to wind up their work by the end of the month. Among the decisions on big cases pending: The Hobby Lobby & Obamacare Birth-control case. The Aero Internet TV case involving TV broadcasters who say their signals are being stolen. There are also cases involving how police can search your cellphone if your involved in a incident, trying to see if you were texting before an accident and another case that looks at untrue statements in political ads.

MOGO MARIJUANA ROLLBACK - Maryland's decriminalization of marijuana possession this year wasn't enough for some lawmakers in Montgomery County Maryland. Tomorrow, 7 County Council members are introducing a resolution calling for the possession of small amounts of marijuana and paraphernalia should be a low priority for county police. They also want the state to decriminalize the possession of drug paraphernalia in the same way they decriminalized possession of small amounts of marijuana. The decriminalization law made possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana punishable a civil fine for the first 2 offenses for people over 21 years old.

NOVA FOOD TRUCK DETOURS - Food truck owners a in busy northern Virginia area are being served up some heartburn. Why? Blame progress. The row of food trucks in Roslyn May have to move. A skyscraper going up near the the Rosslyn Metro stop is probably going cause food trucks to relocate or limit visits to the busy lunch crowd. The truck owners are angry, but the regular retail restaurants may benefit from the trucks troubles. In the meantime the Roslyn Business Improvement District is trying to figure out a compromise to keep everyone happy, including the lunch customer crowd.
