CANTOR LOSES - Shocking, surprising, earth shattering? Virginia's 7th Congressional District upended politics in Washington last night. Use any adjective you want but nobody thought House Majority Leader Eric Cantor became the politician in American history to lose his primary while holding that job. Cantor lost Tuesday night to a little known Tea Party GOP candidate David Brat. The Virginia Board of Elections says he defeated Cantor, 56 percent to 44 percent. He could still try a write in candidacy.

HAGEL ON BERGDAHL - 10:00 a.m. The prisoner exchange for Sgt Bo Bergdahl has exploded into a massive controversy for the Obama Administrations and today Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel is expect to face tough questioning on the deal today. The Republican controlled House Armed Service Committee will hold a hearing today on Capitol Hill. Among the issues expected? Why wasn't Congress notified of the deal, did Bergdahl willingly desert his post? How do we know the 5 released Taliban prisoners won't return to the fight against the Allied Forces and Afghan government.

INDIAN AFFAIRS HEARING - 2:30 p.m. In his response to the "Change the Name" controversy Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder created the "Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation" which according to Snyder focuses on the "real" problems of the living conditions facing Native American. Today there is an opportunity in DC today for Snyder's team to attend a hearing on Capitol Hill directly address the issues of education, employment training and water acces. The U.S. Senate Indian Affairs Committee will take up hose bills in room 628 at Dirksen Building

VA CARE BILL - Congress isn't known for moving quickly on most issues but the crisis at the Veterans Affairs Department may be the exception. Both houses are quickly moving to help thousands of military veterans enduring long wait times for VA medical care. The Senate is poised to vote tomorrow on a measure making it easier for veterans who have encountered delays getting initial visits to receive VA-paid treatment from local doctors instead. The measure closely resembles a bill approved unanimously Tuesday and it could be on its way soon to President Obama's desk for his signature.
