CTA: Weekend project work on Green, Blue Line

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Work will be conducted on two CTA rail construction projects this weekend.

This will temporarily suspend early morning Green Line service between Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville-IIT stations. Also, Blue Line service will be suspended between the Western and Logan Square stations.

The Green Line service suspension will start from the beginning of train service until 11:40 a.m., both Saturday and Sunday.

For people who need to travel between the two stops, a free shuttle bus will be provided.

The Blue Line service suspension will begin 10 p.m. Friday, June 6 and last until 4 a.m. Monday, June 9. A free shuttle bus will also be provided for customers.

Riders are encouraged to allow extra travel time.
