CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Students in the North Suburbs have put together a video that highlights the dangers of social media.

In the video, Glenbrook South students are labeled with slurs and swear-words, then chained up as others pass by, gawking. The performance is meant to evoke the public humiliation faced by kids who are bullied over 'Yik Yak.'

The message of the video is to stop using social media to abuse people, and instead start using it to spread positive messages.

The video on YouTube is called 'Real Life Yik Yak.'
