What movies make the Redskins cry?

Posted: Updated:
ASHBURN, Va. - Do you cry at movies?  The Washington Redskins do, and they're not afraid to say it!

Redskins running back Alfred Morris hosted "Movies with Morris"  at the Alamo Drafthouse in Ashburn on Wednesday.  The event featured some of the players' favorite flicks-- and actor and avid Redskins fan Matthew McConaughey was there, too!

Morris and his teammates weren't afraid to admit they shed a tear over a good movie from time to time.  Morris admitted that Adam Sandler's Click makes him cry, because it reminds him of growing up and his family.

"We didn't have much, but we always had family," Morris said.  "Watching that movie and you just see how you put work before family, and at the end he knew what he did wrong, and he did his best to change that."

Morris says Click touches a soft spot in his heart, and admits he may have dropped a tear or two.

"Only two tears," Morris explained, "After that I was like, okay I'm good."

For Ryan Kerrigan, it was Free Willy that brought the tears, while Niles Paul said Marley and Me was just too much.

"I knew he was going to die, but when it happened, I wasn't ready for it-- I kind of teared up a little bit," Paul told FOX 5's Kevin McCarthy.

And as for Robert Griffin III-- well, don't expect him to sit through P.S. I Love You without a box of tissues in hand.

"You can't be afraid to show your softer side, and in those moments if you're really feelin' it, it's okay to shed a tear or two," Griffin explained.

For the record, Griffin's movie on Wednesday night was John Q, and he said yes-- he did cry, as he does every time he watches it because it's one of the first movies his dad took him to.

In honor of Morris, who is the Redskins 2013 Walter Payton Man of the Year, all proceeds from Wednesday's event benefited the Play 60 for All program and McConaughey's just keep livin' Foundation
