Florey Mahoney: Da Vinci Body Board Workout

Posted: Updated:

We have a fun, new workout to show you. Florey Mahoney created the Da Vinci Body Board, and it's designed to give you a full body workout in just 20 minutes.

The Da Vinci BodyBoard is a deceptively simple piece of fitness equipment designed to give users a full-body, core-focused workout.

The BodyBoard combines strength training and cardio in one short, daily workout through the use of resistance bands and its patent-pending opposing tension core workout system, which forces your abs to act as a hinge between your upper and lower body.

There are a wide variety of exercises created specifically for the DVBB, designed to work slightly different muscles on a rotating basis while engaging the entire body, and based on the principles of High Intensity Interval Training. (HIIT)

Band dancing is the cardio component of the workout—just five minutes at the beginning or end of the workout gives you a heart-healthy cardio blast.

Creator Floery Mahoney is an active working mother who opened Vermont’s first Pilates studio, and invented the BodyBoard when she was looking for a sustainable, effective workout to suit her busy lifestyle.

The idea for the BodyBoard came from Floery tying fitness bands onto well-positioned furniture in her own living room.

The board folds up for easy storage, and can be used anywhere

DVBB classes are being held at several LA locations. (including Oak Fitness and 1617Lab)

Home boards are available for purchase on the website: www.davincibodyboard.com and retails for $298 (which includes a DVD and exclusive access to online workouts.)
