Gwinnett Braves staff save choking man's life

Posted: Updated:
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Teamwork at a Gwinnett Braves saved a man’s life after a hot dog sent him into cardiac arrest.

It started out as a perfect May afternoon for Rob Adams and his father Robert. Both men were enjoying watching the Gwinnett Braves play at Coolray Field.

The trouble started when Adams’s dad started to choke on a hot dog he was eating. Adams said that he froze and did not know what to do.

Thankfully the stadium ushers rushed to help and called for the medics who were working the game.

When the medics arrived Adams’s father had stopped breathing and was in cardiac arrest.

The medics then called the team’s athletic trainers who were able to stabilize him before the ambulance arrived.

The staff’s quick thinking helped  to save the man’s life and allow Adams and his father to return to Coolray Field this week to give their thanks.

The staff credited divine help that day giving all glory to God.
