Seaside Heights is ready for beach season

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The unofficial start to the beach season is Memorial Day weekend. On Friday, things heated up fast on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights.

Spicy Cantina restaurant and bar hosted legendary New Jersey based band Brian Kirk and the Jirks who rocked out to Bruno Mars.

And a visit to the boardwalk wouldn't be complete without plenty of eats from pizza, to Mexican and ice cream.

This is the second tourism season since Superstorm Sandy ravaged the region. In September, a fire destroyed a large part of the rebuilt boardwalk.
