Yearbook Controversy In Arizona Over Pages Of Pregnant Students

Posted: Updated:

MESA, A.Z.- A high school yearbook has sparked controversy for dedicating pages to pregnant moms!

Mesa High School in Arizona dedicated a two page spread in its yearbook to students who are pregnant or already have babies.

Now they're receiving backlash from angry parents and grandparents, who feel it glamorizes teen pregnancy and may make it look appealing.

Students however, are defending the decision to include the pages in the yearbook.

The teens featured in the photos are all graduating.

The school district says the yearbook is an opportunity to reflect on students’ school activities and achievements, and feedback received will help refine content judgment in the future.
