Posted: Updated:

Santa Rosa, Calf.- A mother walked into a school lunchroom on Friday and allegedly attacked a school bully in Santa Rosa, California.

Delia Garcia-Bratcher,30, was arrested after she allegedly grabbed the 12-year-old by the throat.

She says she was trying to protect her daughter.

Now, many are left wondering how she was able to get into the school.

While another parent, who says she’s familiar with the situation, questions whether the daughter was even bullied.

"You can't put your hands on someone else's kid," said parent Stephanie Greep.

When asked if bullying is an issue at the school, Greep said, “Not that I know of. Not that my daughter's told me."

"We will be taking any appropriate measures to make sure kids are safe," said Superintendent of Piner-Olivet Union School District, Jennie Snyder "There are procedures and locks in place. She did not check into office. She walked into blacktop."

Piner-Olivet Union School District sent a letter out to parents updating them on security procedures.
