Teen Catches 3-Foot Carp In Street Flooding

Posted: Updated:

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio – An Ohio teen catches a huge carp... But it wasn't in a lake. He caught it on his flooded neighborhood street!

Sixteen-year-old Jake Sawyer saw the 3-foot-long carp swimming in ankle-deep water outside his house.

Sawyer says he managed to grab it by throwing a towel over it. The big fish weighing in around 30 pounds!

Heavy rains earlier in the day causing flash flooding as high as his mailbox.

The teen suspects the carp slipped out of a nearby pond as the water levels rose.
