Wildwood Approves Dog-Friendly Beach

Posted: Updated:

Wildwood, N.J.- Vacationers in Wildwood can now bring man's best friend onto the beach year-round.

An ordinance has been passed to allow Fido and Rover to roam on the cool sand in a designated beach area.

The proposed location is in the northern end of the city near Poplar Avenue.

The measure passed three to zero at a public hearing on Wednesday.

Now, not only will pooches be able to enjoy the beach, but they can take a dip in the water as well.

The area should be up and running by the middle of June.
