San Diego Police Investigate Alleged Road Rage

Posted: Updated:

An investigation is underway into the possible case of road rage in San Diego.

The crash happened around 4pm on Saturday on Interstate 8 between two women heading westbound. California Highway Patrol officers say there was some sort of altercation between the drivers of a silver Jetta and a green Tacoma pickup truck.

The Tacoma pulled up next to the Jetta and then veered right pushing both cars off the freeway and onto the shoulder. The Tacoma overturned on its side but neither driver suffered serious injuries.

The crash was initially classified as an accidental collision, but if investigators determine the driver of the Tacoma intended to harm the driver of the Jetta, she could face charges of attempted murder or assault with a deadly weapon.
