3 Shot In 3 Hours Overnight In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia police are busy Tuesday morning tracking down the people responsible for a number of overnight shootings.

The first occurred in Southwest Philadelphia, where a 49-year-old man was found dead inside a home on the 5600 block of Florence Avenue. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head just after 9:30 p.m.

Investigators say the man rents a room at the home, and he was found by the homeowner. There's no word on a suspect or a motive at this time.

Another shooting occurred in Kensington shortly after 11:30 p.m. Police were called to B and Somerset streets, where they found an 18-year-old victim who was taken to Episcopal Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

And a shooting in Point Breeze leaves many questions unanswered. A 22-year-old man was shot in the head. Police say they believe he was sitting in a car at the time of the shooting.

The victim is being treated at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley has the latest details on these investigations in a live report from Philadelphia Police Headquarters.
