Arkansas Issues First Gay Marriage License

Posted: Updated:
Carroll County, AR- The very first gay couple in the state of Arkansas received their marriage license over the weekend.

Jennifer Rambo and Kristin Seaton were the first to beat the rush at the Carroll County courthouse.

They’ve been together for four years, and they got to the court house at 2 o'clock Sunday morning.

"It's been eventful. Yeah, it's an indescribable feeling," said Jennifer Rambo.

The couple was determined to be first in line.

"I’m still in shock by it, but yeah first ones in Arkansas history," said Kristin Seaton.

Judge Chris Piazza declared the state's same-sex marriage ban unconstitutional on Friday.
