Winds cause part of Joliet motel roof to collapse

Posted: Updated:
JOLIET, Ill. (FOX 32 News) - Extreme winds Sunday night caused part of a Joliet motel's roof to collapse.

The Best Budget Inn on the west side of Joliet was evacuated after part of the roof collapsed. Witnesses say a microburst may have caused the damage on the roof.

One person staying at the motel was reportedly hit by some flying debris but refused treatment.

A roof crew was sent to the facility Monday to make necessary repairs.
