The leak happened near the 6900 block of South Norcross Tucker Road at the Highland Walk Apartments just before 10 a.m.

A news release from the Gwinnett Fire Department states a company was digging in the area and ruptured a natural gas supply line.

Firefighters evacuated residents from several units at the apartment complex.

Atlanta Gas light workers secured the leaking 3-inch gas line at 1:30 p.m.

No one was injured in the incident.
