GLENDALE, Ariz. - Four people were injured after a car crashed head-on with another near Glendale and 99th Avenues early Tuesday morning. The intersection will be closed throughout the morning.

Glendale police say a 25-year-old man was driving a grey sedan eastbound on Glendale when he crossed the line and crashed head-on into a white sedan that was driving westbound.

A 27-year-old male driver and two adults inside the white car were taken to a hospital in serious condition. They're expected to be okay.

The 25-year-old driver was airlifted to a hospital and is in critical, life-threatening condition.

Police say they believe impairment played a factor in the crash, but it's still unknown if speed contributed.

Glendale Road will be closed from 99th Avenue to Glen Harbor Boulevard throughout the morning commute.
