Local election results for some Mich. communities

(WJBK) - Tuesday was an election day for some communities in the state.

Unofficial results made available on county websites are as follows:

GENESEE COUNTY

Fenton-area public schools bonding proposal: 62% voted YES (for Genesee Co. portion only).

Grand Blanc Schools sinking fund: 69% voted YES.

Mt. Morris Schools sinking fund: 64% voted YES.

All results according to Genesee County's website.

LENAWEE COUNTY

Britton Deerfield School Tax Levy: 53% voted NO.

Clinton Community School Renewal: 83% voted YES.

Pending results for the Adrian SD Millage Renewal, Morenci Area School Renewal and Onstead Community School renewal can be found here.

OAKLAND COUNTY   

City of Birmingham Library bond proposition: 76% voted NO.

Fenton-area public schools bonding proposal: 51% voted NO (for Oakland Co. portion only).

Novi Community School District bonding proposal: 71% voted YES.

All results are according to Oakland County's website

WASHTENAW COUNTY

Pending results for the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority Proposal and Stockbridge School Proposal can be found here.

    The city of Detroit says workers and retirees have approved pension cuts, a crucial step to emerging from the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history. The city reported results Monday after two months of balloting ended July 11. A judge still must hold a trial to determine if Detroit's overall bankruptcy plan is fair and feasible, but support from retirees is vital.
