Another Sex Abuse Lawsuit Filed Against Bryan Singer, Gary Goddard

Posted: Updated:
Beverly Hills, CA - The latest allegations against "X-"men director Bryan Singer comes from a man living in England. In the lawsuit, filed over the weekend, the man identified only as John Doe no.117 claims that first it was Hollywood executive Gary Goddard who contacted him when he was 14 via social media. Goddard, he says, told him that he had the right look to be an actor. He allegedly told the boy that he knew people, including Bryan Singer who could help him.

From 2003 to 2006, the suit claims that Goddard asked for photos of the teen. At a news conference, attorney Jeff Herman showed a photo of a naked to the waist teen with a blurred head. Herman says it's his client and that after he sent this photo to Goddard, Goddard wanted and got nude photos.

Herman's suit includes lurid details of virtual sexual encounters via web cam.  He also showed a card, allegedly signed by Goddard that accompanied chocolates that he had "hand carried" to England.

When John Doe was 15, maybe 16, he says Goddard came to London and told him to tell is parents, he was there as his "mentor."

On another trip to England, John Doe says he met with Goddard again and this time, he says, Goddard plied him with alcohol and the two had sex.

In 2006, John Doe is 17 years old.  He says, Goddard and Bryan Singer invited him to the premiere of "Superman Returns."  Herman showed photos he obtained from his client from that night.  One photo shows John Doe arm in arm with Singer, Goddard and actor Frank Langella.  Another shows actress Kate Bosworth with Singer draped over her and John Doe sitting next to her.

Herman wasn't even sure who the actors were in the photos, but he did ask them or anyone who might have seen something on that night to speak up.

Because according to Herman's client, the night went from festive to violent.  He says, Singer and Goddard to him back to Singer's suite where they lured him into the bedroom.   He says, then the two wanted sex, but when John Doe wouldn't comply, Goddard went out of the room and came back with a "muscle bound man."  According to the complaint, the man smacked the teen around and held him down as Singer took off his clothes.  The complaint goes onto to describe the sexual assault, where in order to escape, John Doe had to perform a sex act on Singer before he was allowed to leave.

These are explosive charges and Singer and Goddard's attorneys were quick to respond.  Singer's attorney released a statement that reads in part,  "Mr. Herman's desperation has led him to fabricate these new anonymous accusations against Mr. Singer, which we will also prove to be completely false."

Goddard's attorney's statement, "The allegations made against Mr. Goddard are vehemently denied and will be vigorously defended at any trial... "

Meantime, John Doe stands by his account.  Herman says, he came forward to support Michael Eagan, the first man to level sex abuse charges against Hollywood executives.

The complaint was filed over the weekend in California.  Coincidentally, John Doe says, Goddard reached out to him electronically.  Herman refused to speculate why or why now.
