Most every man would agree, there's nothing like a good haircut and clean shave, the old fashioned kind from an old-school barber. There's a new shop that offers just that, and more.

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A judge issued her final ruling in the case of Mickey the pit-bull Tuesday morning.

The dog was impounded and declared vicious after he mauled a 4 year-old boy, but many pitbull owners rallied behind the dog and the judge spared its life.

The pit-bull-mix named Mickey could be heading for his new home at Sheriff Arpaio's special unit for animals in jail as soon as Wednesday. It would bring closure to a highly charged battle on whether to save or euthanize the dog.

The unit, once a jail for inmates, is in downtown Phoenix. It houses 29 dogs, most of them pit-bulls or pit-bull mixes like Mickey.

"Mickey will have good food, 24 hour room service, great exercise on top of the roof, and live a great life," said Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Sheriff Arpaio testified in court that Mickey would be cared for by inmates housed at the MASH unit, rehabilitated, and will not have any contact with the public. Those who rallied behind the dog are satisfied with the decision.

"I think Sheriff Joe is more than qualified, and I think its a great way to rehabilitate our prisoners in the Atate of Arizona, and I think mickey will finally have justice that he deserves," said Veronica Lee.

"Everyone got a little bit of what they wanted; we wanted Mickey to be released, that wasn't the case, but he's going to a very good facility, he's going to be taken care of for the rest of his life," said John Schill.

The woman who filed the petition to have Mickey declared vicious and euthanized was not in court today. The petition was filed after Mickey bit and seriously injured 4 year old Kevin Vicente on February 20th after allegedly picked up the dog's bone.

"Adults need to be aware of their children around dogs, and had the adults been aware of what's going on we would never have spent the last two months fighting for Mickey," said Schill.

Kevin was released from the hospital earlier this month but now his life is changed forever. Mickey may be transported to his new home Wednesday where Sheriff Joe says there could be a way for the public to see Mickey.
