Gwinnett County native wins big in Korean singing competition

SUWANEE, Ga. - A Gwinnett County native will soon be a pop star in Korea.

Suwanee resident and former Georgia Gwinnett College student Bernard Park recently won a huge South Korean singing competition called K-PopStar.

The show, similar to American Idol is open to men and women of South Korea descent from around the world.

For 8 months, the contestants sing for the judges and for the audience to win a chance to pick their record label.

Park also won a cash prize and two brand new cars.
