FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Officials are warning motorists heading to northern Arizona to be aware of snow and icy roads.

The National Weather Service says more than an inch of snow has fallen Saturday morning in and around Flagstaff with winds as high as 50 mph blowing snow.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says visibility is especially low on Interstate-40 in Flagstaff.

Meteorologist Robert Rickey says the region is expected to receive 2 to 4 inches of snow with the high temperature being around 36 degrees.

Rickey says temperatures will warm up Sunday with snow melting quickly.

Meanwhile, southwestern Arizona is seeing winds as high as 40 mph, kicking up dust and creating poor visibility for drivers in Yuma.

Forecasters say a cold front has brought wind and some scattered showers to Phoenix.
