In need of a pick-me-up on this rainy, cold Friday? Look no further than this kid's reaction when he gets a hockey stick from Detroit Red Wings forward Jordin Tootoo.

Tootoo, who is currently playing with the Grand Rapids Griffins in the AHL, bumps fists with the boy following a game and says "What's up buddy?" Then, he hands over the stick. "That's all yours."

The bright-eyed youngster breaks into a huge smile and giggles in a way that's sure to put a smile on your face.

The 31-year-old Tootoo is known as a tough guy in the NHL. But his gesture sure shows off his soft side.
