Prostitution sting: 4 arrested at 2 day spas

PHOENIX -

Two Phoenix day spas were busted by police and investigators say the spas were operating as houses of prostitution.

This was a four month investigation that ended with four people arrested.  Police say day spa workers offered undercover detectives sex for money.

Police raided the Eurostyle Day Spa's locations -- one on Cave Creek, the other on Greenway.

"They had come in wanting information on who the owner was," said Fawn Tomasino, who works at a business nearby and saw police raid one of the spas on Tuesday.

"It's just scary."

Business owners Ricardo Ovalle and Irene Santos-Toral were arrested.  They're accused of operating a house of prostitution, along with manager Yesenia Bazan.  Worker Jacqueline Reyes is facing a prostitution charge and accused of offering an undercover detective sex for money.

Police started the investigation after a person who lives nearby complained about the day spa.

Investigators say the spa isn't licensed and one of the employees inside were licensed massage therapists.

All four were released without bond.

Police say the investigation continues.
